What’s all this then?

Officially, the vision of the Order of the White Rabbit is: to ignite the spark of passionate creativity within both writers and Tarot enthusiasts. The aim is to build a vibrant, supportive online community where knowledge flows freely and inspiration abounds. By integrating the art and craft of writing with the wisdom of Tarot, writers are empowered to deepen their storytelling and cartomancers are able to enrich their readings through expressive narratives. Our guiding principles of mutual encouragement, boundless creativity, and shared wisdom shape the online space, helping each member to flourish and grow their skills and confidence. Together, we each celebrate our unique journeys of self-discovery and artistic expression.

It's important for me to note that I am not in this venture alone, I have a Court and Staff dedicated to making the OWR Discord an interesting, active, safe place for the community. These amazing individuals are paid a percentage of the monthly subscription amount on Patreon. The intention is for all of us (Court, Staff, and Community) on our individual paths to also be together as part of something larger, sharing and celebrating our skills and understanding.

He was so LITTLE!!

Probably judging us.

Personal Space? We don’t know her.

Eventually…

This page will showcase the amazing people I get to work with in this venture, but for now I’ll just introduce the rabbit that started it all: Beef.

Once upon a time a global panini brought us a period of lockdown, and I adopted Beef - a white mini-lop bunny with brown ears, three brown spots on his nose, and a racing stripe down his back. (His full name is The Marquis de Babinfield, Beef Fritatta Wigglesbottom Winchester, Destroyer of Cords and First of His Name.) (Yes, that all fits on his card at the vet.) (They call him the Little Rabbit With The Big Name.) His company was instrumental in my maintained sanity during a complicated time.

Beef DOES have a “sister” who came to live with us in 2022. She is ALSO a white mini-lop; only she has dark gray ears, a dark gray blotch on her nose, and what looks like a string of paper dolls on her back. Her name is Broccoli (full name: Broccoli Elizabeth Bean) (It rolls off the tongue nicely when I’m trying to keep her out of shenanigans, which is always.) They were not immediate friends, but they soon realized they got along better than they wanted to admit, and now it is rare to see them NOT piled on top of each other, snuggling.

Which feels like a metaphor, I realized. I have two passions - writing and cartomancy. They don’t immediately seem to go together beyond surface commonalities, but with enough time (and a tiny bit of trauma bonding that one time our apartment flooded and they had to share a cage for a few days instead of running free) it becomes clear they’re actually BFFs.
