I've been all kinds of things over the years - a barista, a car insurance claims representative, a newspaper editor, a seamstress, an academic time management consultant, a receptionist ... even a "happiness coordinator." Writing has been a constant through it all.

The Melody's Song Trilogy is my debut project, suitable for older* YA readers and grown-ups who read YA.

The trilogy is made up of Awaken, Asunder, and Arise; the books follow Melody as she finds her voice and her purpose in a world that wants her dead.

 /OOC means “Out of Character,” and is meant to differentiate between something a player of a roleplaying game would say and something their character would say. Given that the novel takes place in both the in-game world of OtherRealms and the “real” world of jobs and long weekends and complicated relationships, it seemed a fitting title.

Also suitable for older* YA readers and adults who read YA, /OOC follows Samantha as she returns to the fantasy world of OtherRealms after a messy break-up, and discovers that not everything is as it seems.
